You are invited to participate in the 2011 Chef’s Green Challenge 2011 in celebration of Earth Day. Our goal is to promote the benefits of environmentally friendly and healthy foods in our local restaurants.
All you have to do is:

You are invited to participate in the third annual Chef’s Green Challenge 2011 in celebration of Earth Day. Our goal is to promote the benefits of environmentally friendly and healthy foods in our local restaurants.
All you have to do is:
- Offer organic, locally grown, vegan and raw food dishes on your menu for at least one week, beginning no later than April 16th and ending no earlier than April 22nd (Earth Day)
- Promote your participation within your establishment during the duration of your “Green” specials; a window placard will be provided
- Provide VOICE with an 8×10 photo of your Chef or crew and an 8.5 x 11” flyer featuring your menu item(s). The flyer should include a short description of organic, locally grown (within 200 miles), vegan and/or raw ingredients used; Restaurant name; hours and address.
- Optionally! Make a percent of sales or other contribution to Growing Great, the organization educating kids in our schools about healthy eating. (Optional, VOICE’s goal is education through action, however in-kind or monetary donations supporting Growing Great are always welcome.)
Restaurant Benefits:
- Participation in an innovative and educational community program.
- Free advertising and recognition.
- — Mentions in the local newspapers.
- — Your photo and flyer will be displayed in front of 10,000 people at the South Bay Earth Day Concert and Celebration at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach on April 16, 2011 from 11am-4pm. Earth Day visitors will be encouraged to support participating restaurants.
- — VOICE will provide a window placard and camera ready artwork for you to display and use as a participant.
