The purpose of VOICE is to educate and motivate individuals and organizations to work cooperatively toward creating a sustainable world by
thinking globally while acting locally.
About VOICE
Volunteers and Organizations Improving the Community’s Environment (VOICE) is a non-profit formed by a group of ecologically-minded people living in the South Bay. VOICE members work cooperatively to improve their community’s environment through education and awareness.
VOICE began its efforts in 1989 by helping the City of Manhattan Beach make their new residential recycling program one of the best in the country. The main focus of the founding members was, and still is, how each person can make a difference in solving our global environmental problems beginning at home.
VOICE established an ongoing public forum to educate people about environmental issues as presented by qualified guest speakers. These meetings take place on the first Monday evening of most months at the Joslyn Center in Manhattan Beach.
VOICE serves as a resource for information and provides opportunities to learn how individuals, organizations and businesses can take action to improve our environment.
